I think you’d be wasted as skip Sid. WB would be my man.
Good choice. He’s officer class.
Good man
I’d even consider a non playing role like the Ryder cup as long as I got to walk in the opening ceremony and got some decent kit out of it
Part of the team initiation will most likely be in a strip club or a brothel. I presume that’s not an issue for you?
We’d need you on the ice wb. theres only so much you can do from watching on
No problem all in the name of teambuilding
I can already see a movie coming out of this - “Stone Cold”. The rise of Irish Curling is definitely something that I want to be a part of.
Ok so who;s in so far?
Me
Sid
Mac
Declan
seems to based in the north therefore they fall under the GB team. think wed still be ok to set up the CAI
I’d like to think that we could keep it a 32 county organisation though Declan. But if the Unionists insisted on a special Curling anthem similar to Ireland’s Call be played instead of Amhran na bhFiann, I might have to think again. It’s a dilemma we will have to solve.
I’m well known for my tactical nous and pinpoint acuracy, unfortunately i’m not a big poofter hense i can’t skate for shit. i’m available for team selection if required.
I watched a lot of indoor bowls at one stage so I’d appreciate the grand strategic landscape
Whether I can transfer this knowledge to the ice in the manner of Irv Blitzer and Derice Bannock or not is the big question
An under-rated sport, part of Embassy’s “big three” World Championships back in the late 80’s along with the Darts and Snooker.
One of the cunts has an address in Wicklow. I say the 4 of us go down there and end him.
Plus the racist cunts have a problem with Monaghan, Cavan and Tyrone people
Although the ICA is open to all curlers with any Irish connection, only those who meet World Curling Federation criteria (birth, parentage or residence) qualify to curl for Ireland at international level. The ICA has six member clubs:
- Belfast (for those with Belfast connections)
- Clandeboye and Kiltonga (for those from County Down)
- Bann (for those from Counties Antrim, Armagh and Derry)
- Leinster (for curlers with connections to the Province of Leinster)
- Atlantic (for curlers from Munster, Connaught, Fermanagh and Donegal)
- Ailsa Craig (for Scottish residents whose parents passed Ailsa Craig en route for Scotland!)
We’d have to thrash out the issue of the anthem early on
I’d find it difficult not to have Amhran nabhFiann blaring out.
The Unionists can make their own decisions
Cumann Curling na hEireann- Craobh TFK would make a good start
Women’s Ski Cross final live on BBC2 in a couple of minutes. This is class.
Norwegian style uniforms?

The Ailsa Craig club does cater for the diaspora which is a good thing. But certainly as Mac says Cavan, Monaghan and Tyrone will need to be catered for, and perhaps that’s where organisation will come in. As for uniforms, well I presume that will come to a democratic vote.
All this will hopefully carry the benefit of extensive socialising with the ladies curling fraternity. I’m already looking forward to making the acquaintance of young Eve.
