I’m extremely suspicious of this rhetoric about “parents should decide what their children are taught”. It seems to me it’s imported right wing American culture war bullshit and carte blanche for a form of child abuse, because that’s what home schooling with the intention of teaching these right wing “alternative” opinions is - a form of child abuse.
Youngsters need to be educated on the realities of life whether parents like it or not, and they need to socialise.
Trampling over Article 42 of our constitution is quite a far right ideology.

2 Parents shall be free to provide this education in their homes or in private schools or in schools recognised or established by the State.

I think a fairly big majority would agree with the women’s sport one and id say the COVID and immigration ones would be at least 50 50.
That sex ed one is probably the only one of the centre right view I outlined that I wouldn’t agree with. I’d consider myself a lefty on a lot of other issues too.
I still think parents should have choice but I do feel it should be taught in all schools. Devil would be in the detail of the curriculum and I’d trust the dept of ed to make it age appropriate.
Far left views would be anyone can enter the country at any time, we should still be wearing masks and social distancing, there should be no such thing as any mention of gender and we should all be free to identify as whatever as children and once you self identify as a woman you can play camogie.
I’d say even less people hold those views than far right ones and as such are a complete red herring.
