We’ve had brilliant experiences with recent lads from India we have hired to extent they’d nearly be my first choice going forward. They are way ahead of Paddy.

We simply don’t have the (skilled) population… We need as many skilled migrants as we can get… The down side is they can generally afford high rents or will house share in numbers. Adds to the rental crisis.

Hiring someone because they have skills others don’t is fair game. Saying you only hire lads of a certain nationality or ethnic group because you don’t like the locals is a different ball game. Interesting though, how the whole immigrant thing falls out…. “they’re taking our jobs”… “we only hire lads from a certain Place because the lads from the other place are lazy”. Sometimes heard from the same people.
