The far right and the far left do a massive disservice to working class people in this country.

The fact that Gavin pepper type dubs are despised by most of the country is a huge factor in stemming their rise

Why what do the far left do that does them a disservice?

They’ve made it a meme with marginal, diffuse, unpredictable politicians who none of the main parties will work with. We would be better off with a strong united Labour Party with all of the Social Democrats and subversivs underneath and stopping them cowtowing to FF/FG, but no one gives a fuck, they all just wanna be famous; it’s a gimmick.

I was sickened seeing that lady on the doc the other night on RTE who helped people fill out the housing assistance forms get fuck all votes; the big machine gimmick people filled her in; you’ve got to be on that circuit.

Extremism is by its nature irrational. Radical left place the blame for their ills at the doors of the capitalism/rich people and radical right blame race. Class warfare/race warfare are both irrational. The radical left has been responsible for more and greater atrocities in history than the far right.

The risk with a rise of extremism is main stream/centre parties don’t hold the centre and feel a need to pivot or move to a position to chase votes. SF is traditionally a hard left party and its voter base was traditionally a marginalized one. SF moved towards centre but have now moved back to chase those votes by espousing more hard line anti immigration views which may be seen as far right views which makes the hard left/far right label a moving one and a dynamic based on perspective.

In my opinion, there’s no way that gino Kelly, Paul Murphy or Richard Boyd Barrett are more damaging to working class people, more dangerous or bigger cunts than Gavin pepper, derek blighe or Philip Dwyer. The first group are well meaning but probably misguided, the second group…

If Paul Murphy got a chance to implement the policies he espouses he’d destroy the country. He’s dangerous in a different way. The far right lads you mention are too stupid to be dangerous. They are the equivalent of rabble rousing loyalists up North - sending out young scrotes to riot.

The reasonable extremists are the ones to watch and fear - the ones who convince moderates that they are reasonable to get access to levers of power. The far right lads are too stupid to see that.

Steenoch Powell.

Anybody that doesn’t consider fuckers like him dangerous is themselves dangerous. A bitter, bitter bastard with the most obnoxious TV wife since Sean Quinn.

They should just give him his 120k p/a + exes to stop and you’d probably hear no more from him.

A young man is facing trial charged with robbery and burglary of a west Dublin discount store with an imitation firearm.

Richard McGreevy (20) appeared in court accused of robbing and burgling the shop, with just over €1,000 in cash allegedly stolen.

A second man, Stephen Dunne (25) is accused of impeding a garda investigation into the robbery and aggravated burglary.

They both had their cases adjourned for the preparation of books of evidence at Blanchardstown District Court.

Mr McGreevy of Lealand Gardens, Clondalkin, is charged with robbing a woman of €535 cash at More 4 Less, in Bawnogue Shopping Centre on July 14 last.

He is also charged with robbing another woman of approximately €500 in cash at the same place on July 18, as well as committing burglary while he had an imitation firearm on that date.

Garda Goretti Lynch said she arrested Mr McGreevy for the purpose of charge before the court sitting and he replied “no comment” after caution.

State solicitor Michael Durkan said the DPP was directing trial on indictment in Mr McGreevy’s case.

Caution

Judge McHugh reduced signing-on conditions to three times per week at Rathfarnham Garda Station, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Bail was extended to cover the new charge and Mr McGreevy’s case was adjourned to a date in January, for the preparation of a book of evidence.

Mr Dunne, of Hazelgrove Court, Tallaght, is charged with possession of €500 and £20 in stolen cash at Lealand Gardens. Clondalkin on July 18 last.

He was further charged with, on the same date and place, acting with intent to impede the apprehension or prosecution of a person for robbery and aggravated burglary at More 4 Less, Bawnogue Shopping Centre.

The court heard he also made no reply after caution and was handed a copy of the charge sheet.

Defence barrister Jennifer Jackson said there was consent to this.

At her request, Judge McHugh relaxed bail conditions to allow Mr Dunne sign-on at his local garda station three times per week instead of daily.

The judge extended bail to cover the new charge.

The accused men have not yet indicated how they intend to plead to the charges against them.

“Center”

What sort of “Irish” person spells it “center”? :joy: :joy: :joy:

26000 people voted for Derek Blighe in Ireland South in the European elections. Its far from a Dublin specific issue though we do have more than our share of Gavin Pepper type cunts

Yeah but my point is that the main mouthpieces of it all are gobby pepperish dubs and id say most of the 26,000 who voted for Bligh would prefer a black Ukrainian than a know it all dublin gurrier type.

Ah i see. That all makes sense now.

We have this

And thus we now have this
