That Strange Work Phenomenon

Just chill out for a day or two and don’t do anything rash either way. Mull over things in your mind and make an informed decision after weighing everything up. A technique I use when I’ve a tough decision in work or if I’m under severe pressure is to ask myself, what would Brian O’Driscoll do in this situation?

Totti and O’Driscoll famously met to present each other with their respective club and national team jerseys after an Irish rugby football game in Rome a couple of years ago.

Interesting… I’ve lots of experience of that particular institution

Anyway you need to chill out for the moment, keep your trap shut and get on with the job. Don’t do anything stupid like give up your job unless you have something else firm, concrete, definite lined up. The problem at the mo is that this is a global recession and there isn’t a lot going on elsewhere. Dubai has dried up, China and India aren’t what they used to be. Was chatting to an Aussie bloke the other day who said that they are doing ok there and there is economic growth. Seems strange to me.

If you’re going to jump off a bridge with the work, now could be a good time to insulate yourself from the recession by doing a postgrad but you won’t be the only one to think of that (Smurfit has something like 3000 applications for postgrads already this year for 900 places). If you have some cash saved you could think about a bit of travel. Your euro will go a long way in SE Asia, Africa or Latin America

Already have a MBS but have no money saved neither will have. Wages are shite on this grad prog thing and we are not getting the normal permanent salary when we are made permanent just staying on the grad wage. In effect it’s at least a 10k pay cut.

Still better to have a job and a wage than nothing and the dole
Hibernate in a job for the recession and you’ll be in a much better position when it picks up than some lad who is on the dole

What’s the MBS in?
Would you consider an MBA?
Get thee to Harvard/Stanford/Wharton/Insead/LBS etc and learn very little about a lot, Mc Kinsey won’t be PFOing you then

Sorry if you wanted to know more about me but I guessed noone else bar yourself gave a fuck so there was no point carrying on.

We all cant rely on our GAA, Fianna Fail and Catholic Church connections to get a cushy job now can we;)

Getting back on topic.
That work phenomenon where a girl has wintered well and waits until high summer before suddenly letting loose.
They have a pony tail every day, they wear loose fitting jumpers and black trousers and no jeans and you never can tell if they are a 12 or a 16. They don’t go to the pub on Friday nights and they don’t wear much makeup and if they do it’s bright and not the dark around the eyes.
Then they rock into work hair down to their ass (where did that come from) and a dress and a belt that would be too tight as a headband.
I’m wondering if she was on a vaincation recently.

Yours in wintering averagly,
GSH.

A baby has just been brought in by one of the most annoying people you could neet. Stay the fook away from me is all I can say.

Punch her right in the babymaker shan.

her or the baby?

A bloke is making more of a fuss of the child than any of the girls. Letting it make phone calls. I think Ill punch him instead.

Either or really.

You do your own thing shan.

A bit of an improvement on the cunts currently maning those phones eh
