That Strange Work Phenomenon

Ask your imaginary wife in the cellar if that would be ok.

Do you keep your imaginary wife in the cellar? Mines treated like a goddess and living in my palatial mansion in Fingal.

Your mind is a strange place, if you don’t mind me saying.

Oh dear.

Got a call there from our regional manager, our local manager is on 3 weeks annual leave next Monday and the usual wench that acts up to his position is off on sick leave for a few months.
The regional guy asked would I take over the reigns for the 3 weeks, I’d be entitled to a generous acting up allowance and a small few perks but it would mean if have to work my full 37.5 hours and possibly more, ie on call 24/7 to listen to cranks.
He hinted that it would lead to more management work.
I don’t know if it’s the old ploy of bringing a union guy over to their side or if they’re really stuck.
Can’t make up my mind to take it, the remuration package is kind of tempting but it would mean I actually have to do stuff all day, everyday. Tell me what to do guys*?

  • no, shoving my thumb up my hole won’t help, either will hanging myself.

The working class can kiss my ass
I got the foreman’s job at at last.

How did unions allow this to get to court? It seems she got “demoted”, kept her salary and had less work to do. There’s no pleasing some of ye.

1. She’s a woman. No pleasing her.

2. She’s a woman accountant. Absolutely no pleasing her.

#3. She’s an accountant. Mental health issues.

Seriously the company were pulling a stroke here and trying to do away with an FTE by letting her position slip away.

They blackguarded that poor woman.

She obviously had issues to start with before this incident. How else would you explain her profession.

It’s unlikely she’s sh!t at her job anyway. Irish Rail seem to be a tightly run ship when it comes to controlling costs.

Like most civil service/semi state entities. A shambles.

It’s called an efficiency

If they want efficiency they should come straight out and tell her that her position is gone and pay her redundancy or offer her alternative work that’s agreeable to her.
They tried to pull a stroke and push her out of her job.
This isn’t some Eastern European tyre recycling plant that you’re used to working in buddy.
