99.9% of their content is awful or something replayed.

There’s still auld couples sitting rooms around the country where the channel would hardly ever leave RTÉ 1. The news and nationwide sustain them.

Each to their own. My mother listens to liveline everyday. I can’t understand why. I suppose it is pure habit.

Fantastic channel. 4 Corners is as good as investigative journalism gets anywhere these days. Cracker of an opening tune to go with it to boot

There must be very few under 40s that watch it now.
Get rid of the license , move it to a subscription model and see how quick it becomes irrelevant or they actually make watchable content that people will pay for

That outdated model is over. Maybe keep something for sports.
Other than that. I’d cancel the whole lot.
I used to watch terrestial stations up until 4 or 5 years ago. I genuinely don’t anymore at all.
Their salaries should reflect that.

Not a bogball fan but TG4 seems to be much better. They could have proper coverage of league games on RTE news
The coverage of LOI is a joke, no promotion, no consistency if what games are shown, bizarre matches picked
They showed the least appealing of Rovers european games
They dont show the other sports at all.as far as i can see
