Clever use of the scheme by rte. Savimg the licence fee payers a good chunk of change rather than paying directly through payroll. If i paid my licence i would be happy with that decision

I see that RTE were in the Oireacthas the other day answering questions on The Toy show the musical, seemingly it is not doing as well as expected.

I’d rather their contracted stars contributed their fair share of income tax also.

The contrated staff wont be eligible to get one from rte but they can and probably are (and have done for years) giving themselves a gift card and passing it off as a business expense.
