Dont think so. Dodgy practice. Aside from that, it seems that, in their haste to resign from the lls before it all came out, himself and the superagent left him without a contract! It’s beautiful.

Yep, he was out of contract and had already stepped down from the Late Late. Why go through the hassle of bringing him back to do a one hour show. Would probably be easier to change the schedule slightly or just replace him.

I’m appalled & hurt by this. I remain very upset. Whatever about the lack of solidarity with colleagues when negotiating his grubby little side deal when a chunk of them were being made redundant or denied basic terms, that story they concocted at the hearing about being unaware RTÉ had underwritten it & how he was awaiting to fulfil the Renault events as per the contract…it’s just extremely disrespectful to ME as a TV licence payer. I don’t think he’s genuine or trustworthy & I think taking that tactic absolutely stank. I think I’ll send a strongly worded letter to RTÉ.
