Six One News was saying a decision is imminent.
Unless it’s FOAD then RTE are still up the creek
It appears to me that that the ordinary people of Ireland are behind Ryan making his comeback in RTÉ, ‘twould be a sad day when the awkward squad dictated the daily lineup on Radio1

Tough break for Tubs soul
The forelock tuggers will be up in arms that a nepo baby isnt getting his slot at the trough back.
It was very weird that he claimed yesterday his published salary was correct. Just a stupid arrogant stance to take at this stage.
The chair of the board was on the news at one yesterday and she said she reckoned public opinion was 50/50 on him returning.
I still think he’ll be back at some stage.
This decision is probably more to do with the large drop in the license fee than anything else.
He lied by omission about his salary originally, not the biggest sin, but he’s doubled down on it since so it’s outright lying now and I don’t understand why it’s not being called out.
What about the executive board? Any word on those people being given the heave ho?
I’m heading out celebrating
The thread is interesting
I’ll co-sign it Bandage…
RTE snouts in the trough in being tone deaf shocker.
It’s fairly rich of RTE management - who’ve spent the whole crisis trying to spin a positive side to their actions and tried to put a lot of it on Tubridy - to now get all offended by a Tubridy statement. Particularly when the statement was in a response to a report which once again suggested the fault and mistruths largely lay at RTEs door, not Tubridy’s.
No issue with Tubridy not returning but little to suggest the new guy is up to much. They need to completely turn RTE inside out
Am I reading this right, this applies to the ‘airwaves’ and ‘his show’ Could we see him on RTE TV following the JFK trail or a fly on the wall doc following his new children’s book ‘Ryan meets the Oireachtas Committee’
