That's it ! everybody in RTE should be executed forthwith

What toys would they be?

Bakhurst! Bakhurst! Bakhurst!

I really thought he & RTE were putting out feelers in the media over the past week about an imminent return but it seems he’s listened to the people of Ireland & made the right choice, the only choice.

I might buy a few more TV licences as a token of my appreciation.

I’m out of the country and TFK is my only source and f the news at home :joy: (that’s funny)
New RTÉ cutting off their nose to spite their face, Jesus it won’t be long till we’re pining for the old corrupt gang :joy: this new crowd will be terrified to do anything :man_shrugging:

Won’t somebody think of the children.

Ten Haag could learn a thing or two from Bakehurst

Has he been mutually consented or will they have to pony up on the remainder of his contract?

Think he has two years left, could end up leaving on a Bosman to CNN or the like.

Wasn’t his contract up. Or was there a separate deal for TV and radio?

A serious stamp of his authority from Bakhurst here, even if it mightn’t have been his decision but that of the authority. Be interesting to see who gets the slot going forward.

In bakhurst we trust.

I think the feeling is Tubs voided his contract by stepping down from the late late. A new contract was due to be drawn up for just doing the radio show but those talks have collapsed.

I’d be surprised if it doesn’t go legal .

I hope Oliver Callan gets the gig, he’s been great filling in. I used turn off rte after morning Ireland but I leave it on to listen to him a good bit.

Cutting off their nose to spite their face? A one hour radio show in a not primetime slot thats half music? And his figures were down 10% in the year before this scandal broke.

The gloves are well and truly off now. Tubridy & Kelly will be fighting for every last red cent.

Doubt he’ll be willing to repay that €150k now either, as previously promised.

“Donnie and Ryan tour Ireland” could be box office

RTE have made some clown of him. Especially considering most of the blame was on their side. Machiavellian.

I used to find this lad an absolute pain in the fucking hole but either I’ve mellowed or he’s nowhere near as annoying as he used to be. Maybe he was wronged in that Paul Galvin interaction years ago and Galvin was the real headcase

Oliver “gets” GAA. That’s enough for me. That Courtney laddie who is covering for him this week is some dose all the same.

A mugging off, good and proper. I hope they planned it this way

His sketches are absolutely horrendous, but he’s ok as a regular presenter.

I think anytime I would have seen him recently too was likely on the Late Late where Tubbsy would be fake guffawing at his shit impressions too which didn’t help
