His interview after the Armenia game was a disgrace, he ranted at Heimir for 90 seconds with no question.
He picks and chooses, wouldn’t do it to Martin O’Neill, Mick McCarthy or even Stephen Kenny, but he’ll get stuck in to the fella from Iceland brcause he reckons he can get away with it. He’s a coward. Was probably watching that pointless oireachtais committe bullshit and fancied a crack.
Most coaches would refuse to speak to him after the way he carried on, the fat cunt.

I’m not footix enough to be watching all these interviews. Some of the Oirish journos do admittedly get a horn for chasing gaffers out of the MNT job, I did see the OTB lads talking about the end of the Heimir era before this run of games started at all.

He gave Martin a tough time there, for about 15 seconds and then his life flashed before his eyes. It was gas the way he tried to work his way in at the start sucking up, had a small go with a couple of damning statistics, and then proceeded to let O’Neill say the team is shit and he’s a miracle worker for the last 3 minutes of the 4 minute interviews, whilst being chastised for not letting the great man finish his point whenever he tried to ask a question. And he stood there and took it.

For the football journalists based here, the MNT is the biggest show in town.
They were speculating on Kenny’s replacement for months with many of them trying to appear “in the know”.
When heimir was selected from left field, the journos felt mugged off. Some of them like TOD have been out to get the dentist from day 1.
One of the weirdos even asked Heimir about FAI historical abuse claims in his opening press conference. Utterly bizarre

I didn’t like the fearless way he got after Heimir but completely gave up against MON as he knew he’d be savaged. Tactics and results were mentioned in both, but he was like a dog with a bone with the Icelandic lad.
It’s just not a trait I like in people I suppose.
Fair enough and I don’t follow the national team as closely as others or generally watch the interviews or analysis
But I watched that interview to see what you meant about 90 second rants and no questions etc and I didn’t see any evidence
61 according to the Cork Examiner. Married again in 2014 and has a child with the new lady so he’ll go the full distance in RTE I’d imagine.
