Just 5 days away now from Ireland’s premier competition for sweet, wholesome young females who you’d be proud be to bring home to Mammy. But yet again the final looks like a poor standard from the pictures provided to the perving customer on the official website.
My four against the field are:
Catharine Joyce (Western Canada), Cyndi Crowell (Texas), Imelda Finnegan (Sydney) and Claire Curran (Kentucky), although I’m willing to bet that despite looking like a bit of a drag queen in her photo, former Miss Kerry Patrice McGillycuddy (Abu Dhabi) may have been hard done by the camera and could also contend for the big prize.
I had assumed that similar to the situation in darts, it was against the rules to enter competitions run by rival franchises, but obviously that’s not the case, which leaves me hope that we might yet see last year’s Miss Clare, the lovely Lauren Guilfoyle, represent her county on the biggest stage of all.
Just looking at the various regional Roses also while doing my research and was very disappointed to see that Armagh Rose Nicola O’Hare hasn’t made the cut for the final. For shame, judges.

She probably wouldn’t have taken that fellas cock out of her mouth long enough to enter it though.
