Rake out as much as you can, then cut the grass regularly, keeping it about an inch higher than the moss. A dose of that weed and feed won’t do any harm but wait until you have more consistent active growth.

Sulphate of iron. Apply, wait 48 hrs and rake it out. Fire down grass seed and apply fertiliser in about a month. Be grand.

Was just thinking about this noble thread. I was very late getting summer vegetables in after the trip home and the building work, but got tomatoes, sweetcorn, zucchini, silverbeet, , cucumber in. Tomatoes coming on well for a late harvest (San Marco and and the little Tommy Toes), the rest has been struggling in the heat, though the sweetcorn will be ready in a couple of weeks. I’ll be more prepared next year. Most of my time has been taken up with the front garden amd sorting out landscaping around the new pool.
Though a front wheel fell off the fucking mower (Husqvarna, decent job) before Christmas and I’m waiting for the dealer to get the part in. I’m well pissed off with them about it, lawn is overgrown, though at least it’s under warranty so no money will have to change hands.
So while I wait for that, I’ll just have to jump into this

Is there a law in Australia that you have to have a railing around your pool. See lots of shots on facebook and they all have railings. Maybe it’s to keep crocs out.

To keep kids out obviously. Sadly, even with regulations about 350 kids under age 5 drown in backyard pools in the US every year.
