The All England Lawn Tennis Championship 2011

Flickin between both matches and the difference in standard between them is huge. If Djokovic was playing anywhere near his best that match would be over by now. Tsong is 4-2 up in the 4th atm

Tsonga has taken the fourth set as well. 2 sets all and off to the decider.

Djokovic is 5-5 in fourth set.

Federer could be in real trouble here.

And Fed is broken first game.

Tsonga serving for the match…

3 match points for Tsonga.

Federer is out.

Well beaten. Tsonga controlled the game from half way through the first set.

Is that the first time Federer has lost a two set lead in a grand slam match?

Yes

The dignified way for the old horse to bow out - rather than be humiliated by Rafa AGAIN.

GAME SET MATCH FEDERER 6-3, 7-6, 4-6, 4-6, 4-6.

wait a minute

Well another Wimbledon has drawn to a close.

Wasn’t a bad tournament - some terrific tennis by the likes of Federer. Had it’s fair amount of shocks too, especially in the women’s tournament.

Roll on Flushing Meadows

Ha ha.

Nadal dodged a bullet not having to face Djokovic in the final at Rolland Garros. I’d give Andy Murray a good chance of getting to the final here, but if it was a Djokovic/Nadal match up, you could only see one winner. Djokovic has long since figured out Nadal’s one dimensional game and is simply too good for him.

I can’t even recall Djokovic beating Nadal in a grand slam tournament.

You’re correct, he hasn’t, but nothing lasts forever. Djokovic need only look to Nadal himself for inspiration on that front. Gilles Muller and Juan Martin del Potro had never beaten Nadal in a Grand Slam tournament until this week.

Nadal’s best days are behind him, just like Federer’s best days have been behind him since 2007.
