I don’t recall Spillane calling for Jack O’Connor to dismantle the Kerry team after Down made shit of them in 2010. I don’t recall him saying it was a bad sign when Michael McCarthy or Eoin Brosnan came out of inter-county retirement.

Tyrone have done well overall but Mulligan and O’Neill look lost. Mulligan especially is taking too much out of the ball any time he gets it. It’s really up to the likes of Joe McMahon, Gormley, McMenamin and the other experienced players to lead the way in terms of keeping the head. Donegal don’t seem to be working as hard for their scores when they have got them but overall the Tyrone defence is working well in denying them space. Tyrone also beginning to get a small bit of space in that 40-45 zone where they need to kick their scores from. But it’ll be much more difficult to do that playing into the wind in the second half.
