Does this bullshit of wristbands and writing words like âruthlessâ and âsetâ on t shirts go on in any other sports?
Cue words would be fairly common Iâd say.

Iâve never seen them on soccer or rugby teams warming up. Iâm sure they must go on in other sports but GAA teams seem to love being really overt about them.
Cork are due to play the winners of this in the semi should both teams get through their quarters, so Iâll be hoping Down pull off the win today.
Benny Coulter bullying the Donegal lad there, literally!
I wonder if Martin McHugh will have anything to say about his sonâs simulation/cheating there.
Hate seeing lads going down like that after mixing it up. Two of them at it and one decided to âplay smartâ and go down to win a card.
That was some miss from Thompson. Shocking effort.
Ulster football is an abomination.
This is a very engaging game.
The white foot bit of the refereeâs socks extends far too high up the ankle. Itâs a common problem among GAA referees and something that should be looked at because it annoys me hugely.
At this pace thereâll be ~13 points.
Bookies still giving 19.5 as over under.
Alot of goal chances being squandered here. Forwards taking the safe option
Jim McGuiness will be outraged at that bout of open end to end football towards the end of the second half.
Half Time: Donegal 1-5 Down 0-7. A flurry of scores in the last 10 minutes and itâs a fairly fascinating game.
That was so strange. 5 points in 30 minutes.
Then 1-3 to 0-4 in 8 minutes.
Do they just get wrecked at the end of the half and chances open up?
Great to see the biggest stage in the GGA serving up a thrilling game.
Weâve played well so far and the scoreline doesnât reflect our dominance. This is disappointing. Big Ambrose is having a stormer.
I agree. After years of everyone playing the same tactics itâs a completely different game now. It still needs getting used to for those of us whoâve watched and played all our lives but it can be enjoyable too if you just accept the changes. In games like this one every score has to be worked hard for.
It seems everyoneâs playing the same tactics now but that will change as the game develops and teams work out how to counter them. Suppose the fact the game is amateur meant it took so long to happen in comparison to the likes of soccer
