I love this record. 1978 soundtrack to Nosferatu the Vampyre by Popol Vuh. Popol Vuh handed film director Werner Herzog their take on the soundtrack and he decided it wasnât nuts enough and he scoured their back catalogue for dark and weird tunes. Record 1 is thus the bands original effort and Record 2 is Herzogs take. Dark drones, sitars, choirs, moogs, oboes. Itâs nuts.
@farmerinthecity you should check this out. Recorded in 1979 and 1980 by Eno and David Byrne it is years ahead of its time.
