This is where @Horsebox struggles, donāt go into specifics as he gets lost , he only likes rugby because Trent from accounts likes it
Every work place has a Horsey ---- waiting around the water cooler to start up a ā¦ āDid you see that matchā ā¦ conversation.
Trent is a dish.
That transition is well under way. I know you didnāt watch the match on Saturday, but have you seen Jacob Stockdaleās try yet? A thing of beauty in its creation and execution.
Another big TEST MATCH this weekend against the USA. As this is a TEST MATCH, which is nothing like a friendly, Iām assuming the goys will be at full strengthā¦what with it being a TEST MATCH and all
Thatās great to hearā¦ Another concern I have is the line-out. We use it so much as our launch pad and while it generally works, when it is disrupted at all we really struggle. I believe NZ won an important line out nearing the end of the game and we fell apart after it. We cant rely so heavily on the line-out and if we are to continue doing it, we need a competent alternative to Roryā¦ whoās next up, Cronin?
Where is the notion Ireland play bad rugby? I saw @glasagusban comparing Irelandās style to āwarrenballā and I had a good laugh.
good preparation for the pre world cup test matches next summer too, wonder what @trentfromaccounts thinks about these games?
Is there a Trent from Accounts type in your work gang that couldnāt tell you what position Jacob Stockdale plays in?
Stockdaleās try was the only decent bit of rugby Ireland played in the whole game. The majority of the time it was big lads running straight at other big lads until Sexton kicked the ball up into the air and they all run after it as usual
Christ
Patented Joe Schmidt power play.
This cant be sustained at the WC when the games come thick and fast ā This is where we failed at the last world cup and unless we vary our style, I fear it could be our undoing again.
arent you a scummy soccer coach? have you seen the elite Eire scummy soccer team playing that game recently?
Thatās very inaccurate. Ireland had more clean line breaks, same amount of defenders beaten and only two less off loads than New Zealand.
ā¦ and it relied on an odd shaped ball bouncing in a fortuitous manner.
Iām not a coach mate, no.
Ireland also play very boring soccer, yes
Link?
I like the way we use the pod and change the line of attack. To be fair we get a lot of go forward ball with the strong ball carriers we have. Andy Farrell has done a great job on the defensive side of things.
It will be interesting to see how we approach the Six Nations. Are we going to continue with this structured play or let Jacob and Keith express themselves more?
You can feel it. 2019 is our year.
