Blaming Janmaat completely for the first goal and completely excusing Coloccini for “trying to go and win the ball.” Coloccini had no business leaving his man to go and compete for a header that he wasn’t even close to winning. Janmaat was unlucky on both goals, both times bailing out his centre back but the “British” analysis from Carragher is to focus on the lack of cover from the full back and exonerate anyone who tries to compete in the air, even if that involves rashly rushing out of the defensive line.
