After he won them 13 points

Not really, the last time I enjoyed watching them was in the Championship under the great Chris Hughton. Would have been nice for Norwich to stay up

Even if you take away the point that the decision to play him kept them up (btw their turning point was a draw with Liverpool in which Johnson scored) you are choosing to support a club that continued to play a guy after he had admitted to being a nonce and fans who serenaded him with the “he shags who he wants” chant

Who will come straight back up, Newcastle?

a “nonce”?

Paedo

Carlton Cole appears to be a bit of a banterist
just read on the INTERNET that he posted something on twitter before the 2011 friendly with Ghana if the game was set up by the authorities as a ploy to round up illegal immigrants in the UK , he got dinged for it, bit rich coming from a black man but he does appear to be a bit of craic at least

How did he win them 13 points.

Sunderland only got 20 points in the 25 games he was employed by Sunderland this season. They have got 18 in the subsequent 12 games.

Johnson only started 11 games of those 25 before he was sacked, he scored two goals, one a free in injury time against Liverpool to rescue a point and one a late penalty to make it 3-0 against Newcastle. He didn’t score from play all season. He was in effect a bit part player for a team really struggling to put points on the board.

All that changed when he was sacked, the narrative that a bit part player who struggled to make an impact for them when they themselves were struggling was the saviour of their season is ridiculous.

He barely played for them when they found themselves looking doomed. Once he left they had a great run and survived.

Do the logic on that.

He played in nineteen games, scoring 2 goals and 5 assists, they got lots of their points in games which he scored or assisted in until he was sacked. As I said even if you don’t subscribe to that view you are supporting a club that played a paedophile even when they knew the truth and fans who serenaded him with “he shags who he wants”

Which is worse for you, fans who don’t invade pitches, or fans who sing idiotic songs?

It’s a toss up

You’re embarrassing yourself here.

They got lots of their points?

They looked certainties for the drop up until the point he was sacked. You are making a fool out of yourself when you ignore the way they performed out of him.

He was a shit footballer who happened to be a nonce. You attributing him tucking away a penalty late on in a game where they were coasting to victory and assisting a few consolation goals as some sort of one man band is risible.

Shhh, let him carry on, this is tremendous.

Err no, he scored or assisted in games where they gained 13 points at a time when they were picking up fuck all points

And they picked up much more points them he was sacked. He is a shit footballer, that fact is one of the reasons why they were struggling.

They survived due to the performances of the likes of Kaboul, Defoe, Kone, Borini, Cattermole, Van Aanholt, Mannone and Kirchoff not the shit performances of Fletcher, Johnson etc. They notably improved when these wasters were no longer part of the team.

They wouldn’t have had the chance to stay up without the points Johnson won them
