Iām pretty sure Gah was midfield starting out and switched with Tom Kenny then. I could look it up, but I couldnt be arsed cos heās an ugo cunt. Iām sure a Corkonian will inform us eventually if we keep bumping this thread.
Yeah thatās where they played in 2003.
There seems a to be a bit of a circle of life thing doing on with this Cork team.
In 2003 they started off with Kenny half back, Gardiner midfield and Gardiner also took the frees.
By the end of the Tipp match this is exactly the same after Ben missed 3 easy ones.
Limerick will be hard bet.
Bandage, to answer you questions first. The Wexford game was a far slower, more mistake ridden game. I do however agree that the Cork-Tipp match was over rated, and the first half was only barely above challenge game level.
From a Cork perspective i think sunday showed how far everyone is really behind KK, the pick of Cork, Tipp, Wexfoerd and Offaly wouldnāt beat them on the weekends games.
Tipp were simply brutal for 25 mins of 2nd half, and only for some shocking defending and poor shooting Cork should have won it by 3 or 4 points. The lead up to the goal was desperate stuff.
The goalie and backs:
Cusack was ok, didnāt do much wrong, but what the feck was he wearing? Met him yesterday morning in an early house and he was so sghockingly dressed it was scary. Cadogan was superb, Oā Sullivan settled well after a horrible first 20. Murphy was poor and isnāt related to IC standard, Oā Neill was a huge loss.
Curran and Gardiner were very poor when at half back, but at least Gardiner improved drastically at midfield, Curran should have been taken off, he was very loose. Sean Og was excellent all through.
Midfield:
Jerry was outstanding, but so was Shane Mcgrath, Tom wasnāt great but improved at half back.
Forwards:
Worst half forward disply at this level from any top county team iāve ever seen. What was Ben up to all day running into tackles. He looks like heās lost a yard, his striking was poor. Less said about Niall Mac the better. Timmy was the best of a very bad lot, but he was still poor overall, one of his shots was of the U-12 varriety. Pa Cronin surprised me and was superb when brought on, with 2 lovely scores. Paudi Sull was a waste of time, Fintan Leary didnāt get much of a chance and Naughton was poor. Inside Aisake looks to have some potential, he just got very little good ball. Pa Horgan will be better for the game, but looked out of it for long periods. Canāt understand Kieran Murphy been taken off, he was winning alot of ball.
Overall not a bad display and could see Cork making All-Ireland semi again this year. They wouldnāt beat Waterford, KK or an improved Tipp side though iād say.

Would agree with this call. Before the throw-in I was expecting the first twenty minutes to be explosive. All the ingredients were there, or so it seemed. The throw-in represented the high point really, very much downhill from there. Perhaps the heat sucked some of the energy out of the game and killed the pace a bit. Whatever it was it wasnāt good. While the standard was higher than the Offaly/Wexford game, the bite in the Tipp/Cork game was much lower.
Ultimately Iād see the game as a huge chance missed to knock Tipp hurling back three years, but unless they find a few men who donāt need to take most of the second-half off someone else will do it. I look forward to it.
The most arrogant fuckers you will ever meet in your life.
Sore losers.
Bad winners.
After Galway lost the hurling final of 2001 (very bad referee that day) to the fuckers we were told after the match by the pricks that weād be well bet in the football final. Hmmmm
Tony Keady.
Numerous other reasons which I wonāt get into.
Still it was funny seeing them fighting among themselves at last years Munster final. And their women are easy
Tony Keady? Yawwwwn, you forgot John Denton there as well.
Thatās the trouble with the Galway lads, conspiracy theorists, the whole lot of them, a Galway man calling any other county sore losers or bad winners is real pot and kettle stuff.
Some of the most bitter cunts you will ever meet are Galway hurling fans.

Tisnt the Galway boys that are bitter by the sounds of it.

Cork were fierce unlucky not to win it really but Tipp always looked the slightly better team,i was dissapointed with Cathal Naughten when he came on,Loughnane,Diegnan,Marty etc were all drooling at the prospect of his being sprung any minute, when he was he did fuck all.Felt sorry for Pat Horgan,he couldnt hit a barn door last Sunday the poor fella, his penalty struck Cummins in the head doing 100mph,the jammy cunt knew nothing about it.It just wasnt Horgans day he deserves another go.
There is more then enough in that Cork side to beat Tipp and most defintely beat Waterford.
We would, of course, get destroyed by Kilkenny.
I thought letting Horgan hit it was a bad call by the Cork boys. He caught it well but an u14 would know not to hit a penalty straight at the keeper. Was amazed at Naughtonās performance, I always considered him a bit of a racehorse but I never thought heād look as lost as that. Wouldnāt blame any of the analysts for saying he was made for it, he was made for it. Iād agree with Turenne that Cork could beat Tipp but thatās a reflection of where Tipp are at more so than Cork.

Iād disagree with this totally. Ridiculous. I know plenty of Galway people and let me tell you theyāre very gracious in both victory and defeat.
We can all agree that Tipperary hurling people are the most horrible people on earth.
Post of the day.
Post of the year:clap:
Super post Watch The Break

I added to your reputation
Waterford must be laughing after watching that Cork v Tipp game. Handy Munster title for them if they get over Limerick.
Tipp should have battered them after they scored the goal but they havenāt the self conviction yet. Cork have plenty of that but theyāre only hurling from memory.
An average start to a fairly average provincial championship.
