Galway wonât bring a massive support and neither will Kilkenny, because both are convinced that their teams have much bigger games ahead of them this summer. I donât think there is much to be gained from moving it onto a double header with the Limerick-Waterford game, and I donât even really mean that from a Leinster-selfish point of view.
If the GAA seriously want to woo an extra couple of hundred neutrals onto the attendance (because thatâs surely only what we are talking about? There canât possibly be thousands of will-I or wonât-I GAA fans in every town in the country can there?), then IMO the only way to do it is fairly simple - reduce the admission prices.
Tony can go fuck himself. Bad enough we took in the pariahs from the Wesht and the Norf into our Hurling Championship, weâve also allowed the puke football finals of Ulster to sully our beloved Croker, now they want us to send Kilkenny down to Semple to show the locals how hurling is played?

Fuck them, fuck them all.
Wexford played Dublin in Thurles in 2002. Its been done before. If it helps promote the game then what harm. Better than having them cunts in Offaly hosting the game.

CD - why do you think its not doable?
Itâd be a mess ticketwise. I already have tickets for Tullamore on Sat. If they want to make it all ticket with assigned seating then mapping from the Tullamore unassigned seats to assigned seating in Thurles itâd be a catastrophe based on the jokers who run matches in Thurles.
The lads who run those games in Thurles had no idea what they were doing for the League Final.
Only one stile open for cash. As a result loads of Offaly and Wexford supporters were left stranded outside. They would fuck this up big style.
And the game in Nowlan Park is set so adding a game to it would be easy. I wouldnât expect it to be even near a sell out so by putting the Limerick Waterford game there you will probably make it a sell out with a 30000 capacity.
Itâs not that bad for Waterford fans. Not great for Limerick fans but not too much past Thurles.
Fook that. Why should the premier hurling province amend their schedule to accomodate two poor teams from Munster? Mac, youâre skating on thin ice here.
Its the lesser of 2 evils - I think its a travesty the 2 teams are being dragged to that shithole in the midlands. As bad as Thurles is, at least its not in Offaly.
Itâs a no brainer, MBB. I didnât see anything in todayâs game to make me change my mind that the championship winner will come from any one of Galway, Dublin, Kilkenny and Wexford.
Galway I think would prefer to avoid playing Kilkenny in Thurles after the trauma of the last couple of meetings there. Besides, Iâm not sure Waterford and Limerick would like their Munster semi final replay being the undercard in Thurles to a Leinster semi final. Thereâd be cribbin.
Well if itâs as bad as todayâs game they couldnât have any complaints about being the undercard to anything.
If there was a Leinster semi final as bad as todayâs game there would be uproar.
Didnât Offaly v Wexford a couple of years ago finish 9pts to 8 on a sunny day in Nowlan Park? Howls of derision from all the Munster counties after that one.
Sure all weâll hear tomorrow is how you cant bate de tension of de Munshter championship bah. Twas all the rains fault.
