Yeah a few of my uncles certainly played for them a while back[60s/70s].
Possibly a few of my cousins too more recently.

Tehyâve knocked on the door there for a while now. Should have won one or two in the last 15 years or so.
They announced the Leinster team of the last 25 years at the game yesterday and it was in the programme too. I can remember most of it:
Fitzhenry,
Kavanagh, Hickey, Hanamy,
Whelehan, The Great Liam Dunne, JJ Delaney,
OâConnor, Kelly,
xxxx, xxxx, Walsh,
Brennan, Carey, Joe Dooley.
I imagine Shefflin was in the half forward line but I canât recall who else was in it. A bit odd having Tommy Walsh wing forward in truth. It would have made more sense to stick JJ in the corner and Tommy wing back. Personally, I donât think Martin Hanamy was so good that it would have been a shame to leave him out. But alas, itâs only a team and who really gives a fook?

Bit of a joke if Martin Storey was left out imo.
Would have though Willie OâConnor was better than Kavanagh too.

Power and Shefflin perhaps? Lotta big names left off that, none less than yesterdays inductee into the Leinster GAA Hall of Fame. Hanamy was a class act to be fair. Kavanaghs medal haul deserves inclusion, heâs a fine player and you dont keep your place on that KK side if youâre not up to it.
Hanamy was good all right, not disputing that. There were only the three Wexicans so Storey definitely didnât make it. Larry OâGorman wouldnât have been out of place in that company either.
Always tough to pick teams like this, especially considering how good Leinster hurling has been for the past 25 years. Fine, its no bother pick one in Munster, but Leinster, no, not at all.
Storey is a poor ommision.
Its not exactly an omission though kev, this was a vote, and when it comes to votes, these things can happen. Wouldnt read too much into it.
Fitzhenry,
Kavanagh, Hickey, Hanamy,
Whelehan, The Great Liam Dunne, JJ Delaney,
OâConnor, Kelly,
Johnny Dooley, Shefflin, Walsh,
Brennan, Carey, Joe Dooley.
Whatever it was, it wouldnât have been my choice, thats all i is saying mbb, relax.
