The Battle for Liam 09
John Lee is a decent enough hurler but is a small bit overratedā€¦He is no Tony Keady
Iā€™ve always thought so as well to be honest. A lot of Galway people are starting to come around to that way of thinking as well. Loughnane must have been on the lash when he said he was the next Seanie McMahon. Not to be too harsh but heā€™s yet another Galway hurler who became a ā€˜legendā€™ before heā€™d really earned the right to be called one.

great man to catch a ball but always has to try to solo it instead of sometimes just driving itā€¦that could be coached out of him I supposeā€¦

According to PV, this is the tipp team for sunday

Cummins

P Stapelton Curran O Brien
Fanning P Maher O Mahoney
Woodlock McGrath
Lar Callinan Johnno
McGrath Webster Kelly

I wouldnā€™t be all that confident of tipp winning well if that is the teamā€¦Kelly and O Mahoney havenā€™t much hurling doneā€¦o Mahoney and Fanning arenā€™t wing backs and neither have much pace, both far more suited to centre backā€¦Woodlock was poor at midfield last yearā€¦Half Forward line looks lightā€¦

They should have enough to win but I wouldnā€™t be putting too much money on it if that is the team

What are you doing in that cesspit? Talking about hang sangwiches?

Keeping an eye on the enemy dunphā€¦

whoā€™s the P. maher ?..not philip is it???.whereā€™s the lad pat kerwick the half forward these days?..is he still on tipp panelā€¦

Padraig Maher, started wing back in teh league final and went Centre back when Fanning got yellowedā€¦Was full back for the 21s last year and looks to be a very good hurler in the makingā€¦

Was only wondering the same thing about Kerwick a few minutes agoā€¦

Canā€™t argue with that. :guns:

I thought youā€™ve to be a member there before you can view any of the threads? What do them pricks talk about anyway? Ways to save euros?

There is a hurling section and shite talk sectionā€¦PM Billy Wright ot tipptops* if you want to know about the shite talk sectionā€¦artfoley is often found in there kicking ass

pukey would Oā€™mahoney be a bit too slow to play out on the wing?..havenā€™t seem much of him this year but thought he looked a big presence in the middle last yearā€¦reads it wellā€¦didnā€™t think out the wing chasing a lad would suitā€¦

Presume he will start at 6 anyway even though he was named on the wingā€¦Tipp have been rightly stuck for a centre back for a whileā€¦He had a solid year for them last year but had a bad dose of the mumps and is still on the mend from itā€¦Neither him or Fanning are that quick and both could struggle to contain Timmy(roasted Eamonn Corcoran last year) and benā€¦

It is gas, Newport are an intermediate side in North Tipp and they play him full forward as they think they have a better centre back in the club

I very much doubt Fooley is kicking any ass. More like getting his own ass handed to him.

:guns:

They have stopped accepting new members until the Championship Season is over.

Timmy is the reason the handpass was inventedā€¦ :guns:ā€¦terrible striker of a ballā€¦ poor cunt couldnā€™t pick out a white horse in a coal bunkerā€¦

Or ā€œthe much malignedā€ Timmy McCarthy, the farmer from Castlelyonsā€¦To give him his full title

Hasnā€™t been the same hurler since he swapped the flower-pot for the cooper (or possibly mycro now?)

The mumps are some dose. Rid of them for about two weeks now and still havenā€™t my appetite back. Poor aul Timmy is one of those players you get in every squad, the 800m runner type. David Tierney in galway is similar enough and he gets some amount of shit.

Fanning marked McCarthy in the 2005 Munster Final and didnā€™t have any trouble, I donā€™t think Timmay has improved any since.

Had them when I was 18 WTB, wasnā€™t right for about three months after them, lost about a stone of weight the week I had them and took about three months for the energy levels to return to normalā€¦Was in bed every night about 9 o clock during my leaving cert absolutely wreckedā€¦
