Always thought Brennan would play the Dooher/Galvin role well actually, plenty of football in him.
very good on the ball alright but has no pace and wouldn’t go in amongst it for dirty ball like Dooher or Galvin would…
In a big weekend of gaelic football I’m tempted to go for a monster accumulator for the hell of it:
Cavan v Fermanagh 5/6
Kildare 2/7 v Wexford
Donegal 1/5 v Antrim
Laois 4/9 v Louth
Westmeath 4/9 v Wicklow
Mayo 1/5 v Roscommon
Tyrone 8/15 v Derry
Sligo v Galway 2/11
Down 2/7 v Mayo - Hurling
Dublin 1/6 v Antrim - Hurling
Pays 19.25/1 - Worth twenty quid for the craic.

You’ll be waiting till Monday week to collect if they come up.
Sligo/Galway is on the 28th. I could try monday week but I doubt they’d go for it.
Horrible odds for Laois there, if I was a betting man I’d throw down on Louth there.

is bogball that predictable that the underdogs never win?
You should stick Limerick -3 in there at evens as well.
A fine day from what you heard as well wasn’t it?
So i heard…
Think that’s harsh on Ger to be honest
I wouldn’t have him in the Dooher mode at all.
Think he is much more a man to shore up the middle of the defence and hopefully he’ll be doing that tomorrow
Its a massive change down the spine of the Dublin team, think O’Connell is in his best position, and hope that Bastic builds on his league form. Thought he was unlucky not to figure the last few years but he probably benefited from his time under Jack Sheedy
Brennan to shore up a defence? We’ll see.
What’s the story with young Donie Brennan MBB??
Too fond of the beer?

There’s some backstory there between Donie and the manager, not sure what to make of it though. However the line is htere was a drink ban and he was caught out on it, simple as that. His Club manager came out shooting his mouth off in the local press when he’d be better off shutting it and not underminding the Inter county set up. Bad form in my opinion. Donie is an alright sort, but he’d do well to cop himself on and throw himself into the colective.
The club manager inferred that Brennan wasn’t the only inter-county lad that had a drink that night. Seems strange that he was singled out.
We will indeed, it’s my hope for Ger anyway-
Give a man his dreams before the season starts…
A solid midfield, defenders that know how to defend, scoring forwards that play as a team and a dog it out attitude

whats harsh about it?..i just more or less said he wasn’t the dooher type…
Think you’re confused there
I’m agreeing with you.
Just said that I thought it was harsh on him when MBB said he wasn’t the type to shore a defence
We might be, but we have a windy enough full forward line. Now i don’t worry about DO’C, he’s light and can be blown away, but its rare he’s caught these days. I have very little mass in Masters at the very highest level, and by that i mean Croke Park. Goulding is a big man, but is still a little green.
That Kerry team isn’t too frightening really. I’m glad Tommy Griffen is centre back, that they picked the midfield they did, and that Darren O’ Sullivan is starting. Donnacha Walsh has a bit to do to convince me he’s a top Kerry standard player as well.
The most interesting battle could be Miskella and Galvin. Galvin would be well wound up for Noelie. But with no Noelie how will he react to the more athletic and attacking Miskella. Obviously he’s well able to cover the ground, but Miskella is averaging 3 points a games at all levels lately.
Rumour has it Ray Carey is going marking Gooch, a major gamble for such a young player to mark one of the greats, but he is an incredible marker at the lower levels.
Really can’t pick a winner in this one after reading that Kerry team.
Considering the team Conor has picked, easy enough Kerry win.
I ended up getting drunk instead and forgot all about it.
