The Cager Thread

Taxis should not be allowed in bus lanes. Most people who get them could just as easily use public transport. Why should they be allowed clog the roads with lazy/wealty patrons to get to their destination. Let them share the car lane.

Also using way more fuel, nobody usually in the cab on the backward journey.

Strong agree

Strongly disagree.

I get the train to Dublin because I know the taxi at the other side will get me to the office pretty quickly.

If i was having to prick around with buses Iโ€™d just drive up.

All down the quays in Dublin, particularly heading to the Point. Was on the bus heading to the aiport today and most of the cabs were single occupancy.

I lived in Dublin for a decade and never saw something like that, unless maybe for a big event

When you donโ€™t want one.

Buses much quicker up the quays now, thats for sure

Apart from reducing our carbon emmissons

Surely we should be at the stage now where cagers if found guilty aare jailed and never allowed drive again

Agree 100% with this. Driving is a privilege and any one guilty of causing a fatality on the road should be denied any further access to the roads.

The driver had a medical incident. Seems like it was a case of everyone being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yet @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy is straight in with 2 feet looking for a jail sentence
