3 people from where I come from died within 2 weeks recently from cancer, all relatively young, a small rural community, there is definelty something going with diet or lifestyle

I wonder is it a radon area?
Thereā€™s a load of people on our road growing up had it. Radon wasnā€™t a thing then, so no barriers etc.

Stay away from the smokes lads if ye can. The aunt got the diagnosis on Friday. Stage 4 lung cancer. Mid 60s with guts of half a century of smoking behind her.

They are a scourge. Radon levels in older Irish houses are something to keep an eye on too.

Sorry to hear that.

My brother quit them about two years back after around 20 years. Allan Carrā€™s book was used but in the end like everything will power was needed.
