The VanMoof seems to be very good for theft prevention but the wait to get one is so long. Iām planning on getting an e-bike this month.
The S4 is available with a mid September delivery. They look good.
Seeing more and more of them around.
Do you have to assemble it yourself ?
Yes. But thereās not much to it I believe.
But they have a reputation for missing delivery dates by 12 months. Plus a poor service record.
If you get one and it works theyāre great. But seems to be a bit of a lottery. And their delivery estimates seem to be extremely optimistic.
E bikes? Lazy cunts
A little bit inside me dies as I get passed up the hill at the entrance to Phoenix park from town
Thank god you replenish quick enough with the trademarked #SpideyDiet

Children mining lithium and cobalt to keep your sedentary lifestyle going?
Isnāt that the one with massive delays now cos the builders went out of business?
@Thrawneenās idea of a multistorey bike park was ahead of its time
Fellas cycling bikes worth thousands and locking them in town is the problem.
Where should they lock them?!

They havenāt started it yet? Temporary solution using bollards going in during 2023 with permanent infrastructure by 2025.
Are you thinking of the Sandyford to Clonskeagh section? That seems to have come to a bit of a standstill alright.

Didnāt expect victim blaming from @Fagan_ODowd
Where should they lock them?!
They shouldnāt leave them locked in the street. I was in Munich some years ago and noted that the bikes in the city were locked to those bike racks with those little plastic locks we used to have as kids. Then I noted that basically all the bikes were crocks and bone shakers. Iād say the two phenomena are linked. There appears to be no way to prevent the theft of top end bikes so itās fairly risky to lock one to a rack in the centre of Dublin.
The nephew used to spin around on an owl bike that used to put me in mind of One Piece at a time by Johnny Cash. He had great comfort knowing nobody would bother robbing it.
Bikeep locking and charging station i
was trialled in Docklands. Not sure it ever went beyond that.
Why do you hate the global south
Why canāt you pedal a bike under your own steam? E bikes are just another example of the west exploiting African workers in the name of convenience.
