The Chelsea supporters thread

Guilty conscious

Conte comes across as a very alright sort. Chelsea, as a club, are a shower of horrid cunts, though.

Compared to who?

All the top EPL clubs are horrid

They are indeed.

*conscience

Digger getting stuck into Conte now. Wonder does he post here.

Digger?

I’ve no doubt there are questions to be answered there but he’s hardly unique in top EPL managers. The glossing over Guardiola’s past is nauseating.

I’d never heard of conte before this thread tbh so no idea

Never heard of Conte?

Do you live in a basement?

Subjective nonsense.

Liverpool drawing guys

would be massive if it stays like that

Big Virgil linked

is there a sell on clause that we get a percentage of the transfer fee if Saints sell him to us?

Great result. Can go 8 clear Wednesday.

Spurs have been subjected to a gruelling Christmas compared to the cushy timing schedule Chelsea have had but this is really taking the biscuit moving Wednesday night’s game forward to Tuesday at such short notice when Spurs were in action at lunchtime on Sunday.

Spurs played a Watford team missing half their players yesterday, mate.

They are lucky.

You’re some Chelsea fan. You don’t even know what day they’re playing next.

Spurs had won their last 5 games against the might of Watford prior to yesterday and hadn’t lost to them since 1987. We’d probably have been alright even if Watford were at their formidable full strength.

Injuries and squad depth over the course of a season are a problem for all clubs bar the super franchises like Chelsea and the two Manchesters. Spurs had a crippling injury list for much of October and November and with paper thin squad depth, results suffered accordingly. I don’t recall you mentioning that Chelsea might have been lucky when they beat Spurs 2-1 back at the end of November when they were facing a Spurs side who were missing Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela through injury from their strongest starting XI, a Spurs side who had to play their central midfielder Eric Dier out of position at centre back and who had Harry Kane still miles off full match fitness only just back after a seven week injury lay off.

Huh?

That’s a lot of excuses there Geoff.

There’s no excuses. The injury crisis at Spurs wasn’t even mentioned once by any of the Spurs fans here when we lost to Chelsea back on 26 November.

You were the one that was making excuses for Watford and their Italian manager after yesterday’s trouncing. Spurs were 4-0 up after 46 minutes. They’d have probably won by 7 or 8 if they hadn’t taken the foot off the pedal to conserve energy for Wednesday night.
