That County Hurdle is lottery…I like Shadow Catcher also.
Ta Kid, I’ve adjusted my wager accordingly.
About time he did. It is a poor sight when you have three in yellow & green hoops at the back of a bad handicap in somewhere like Thurles or Roscommon
JP clearly feels guilty about how he amassed his fortune, why else would he bother to keep so many deadbeat trainers on the payroll
Rich man’s guilt, I think Dunph suffered from this too
If only DB was around to give us some info
Surely someone can get in contact with the man? This is do or die time!
How has Fenway been faring does anyone know?
heavy rain forecast tomorrow too
If the ground cuts up tomorrow I will be on Cotton Mill, Ballycasey, and Long run.
is Abbey Lane going to run in the county? He made no impression Wednesday in the Coral when I had him on my placepot.
As things currently stand
1.30 - Backed Our Conor. Worried about Kashmir Peak
2.05 - Backed Princeton Plains. May have a nibble on Shadow Catcher
2.40 - Our Vinnie is looking like my choice. Nice form with Rule the World. Not worried about Pont Alexandre race.
3.20 - This will be a morning job
4.00 - I keep coming back to Backstage. Need Runts guidance on this race. He’s the PTP expert.
4.40 - Backed Make Your Mark & not touching anything else
5.15 - Backed Anquetta
Shadow Catcher had a prep run in Dundalk recently and looks to have been laid out for this race all season. He was 2nd to Hisabaat in last years juvenile hurdle at Leopordstown but that one probably finds himself here due to his poor form whereas Gordon probably had this in mind for SC from a long way off and few are as skilled as he to have one primed for these big handicaps, he carrys my money in the County
If McCoy remains aboard Alderwood take the hint.
Triumph is a coinflip between Rolling Star and Our Conor imo. Would love to see Dessie Hughes with a good’un but Im going with Hendo’s as he’s probably the best trainer of young hurdlers there’s ever been and RS is a c&d winner and open to any amount of improvement.
Agreed I am going to have a saver on him
I think shadow catcher has to be covered , it’s not the hisabaat line, it’s the horse that was 3rd !
Keep it simple for the AB. At Fishers Cross credentials look absolutely rock solid and the 11/4 looks more than fair, he’s proven on the course, he’s proven at the distance and his form is being franked left, right and centre. He can be the one to finally give AP his first winner at this years festival.
Will the pipes leave the festival without a winner?
Fairly certain he’s had the scissors treatment kid
he comes with a serious gnd warning , he needs soft, wait for rain before taking that price IMO
