The Cheltenham NH Festival 2013

Complete red herring runt. Good place runs there behind menorah and cue card as novice chaser and won there as novice hurdler

Tora ! Tora ! Tora !

Completely agree. At the risk of putting some hoodoo on him he has never finished outside of the first 3 and he hasn’t exactly been running up against donkeys

What are the thoughts on hidden justice in the first? Rolling star now 10/3 favourite and our Conor at 7/2.

Segal has tipped up our Vinnie and princeton plains, hope you all got on last night.

A fairly heated discussion in the pub last night eventually came down o the side of Long Run being the value in the race. He’s a free e/w bet at the prices

We’ll see, he won’t be carrying my money anyways.

Have you any fancy in the fox hunters? I can’t have salsify at that price. I’m also not convinced by Backstage’s prep. Leaving his qualifying run two weeks before the festival?

Chapaturgeon, if he’s ridden more prominently this time he warm salsify, ew price

Tora ! Tora ! Tora !

Anyone know Rubys last chase win around Cheltenham?

On the long run thing, don’t be fooled, these second season novices are special. SC, SDC, Cue card, FL, bobsworth etc. standard is up, he must improve

The simple bit first

1.30 - Backed Our Conor at 3s. Will be having a small nibble on Kashmir Peak at 16s or better.
2.05 - Backed Princeton Plains at 14s and Shadow Catcher at 20s
2.40 - Backed Our Vinnie at 11s
3.20 - Will be backing SC - he’s drifted to 5’s - doesn’t put me off
4.00 - Backed Backstage - not sure what price
4.40 - Backed Make Your Mark at 16s
5.15 - Backed Anquetta at 16s

Pricewise has agreed with me twice already this week, here’s hoping we can go 4 from 4 today

Sunnyhillboy a NR! Did jp just do McCoy a big favour !

Cue Cards run yesterday has me more convinced about SC chances. Both of them are a year younger that the other second season novices. Both are machines. Plus there’ll be the added bonus of TTK having to come back here with his tail between his legs.

On another note, Sunnyhillboy is out of the Gold Cup. Looks like McCoy will get the leg up on SDC now. Wonder how much O’Leary paid JP for that?

Mac what’s the official going?

I had backed sdc at 6/1 ante post but I’m not confident he’ll win this. Long run is 8 years old. Proper age bracket. If his jumping stacks up, whatever about the jockey, he’ll go close

Good to soft. More rain expected.

Not good

No good to soft kid!

Opinions on Captain Chris lads?
