The Cheltenham NH Festival 2013
What are you thoughts on Golantilla?

I see he’s now as big as 8/1 for the CB.
Seems to be more of a buzz about Blackmail at the moment, Barry Geraghty rumoured to be taking the mount. 14/1 top price now, 10s generally.
For Juhniallino, Donn tipped Zarkandar, Reve De Siviola and Sir Des Champs. He also tipped up Lyreen Legend for the RSA or Jewson who he thinks is too overpriced compared to Boston Bob. As well as that he managed to have a good laugh at Mac for tipping up Zaynar at 1/14 when he lost at Kelso that time.
Mike Cattermole was on too and reckons it will be a good year for the Irish.
FFS Sake - twas Denman at 1/10 I tipped up, not Zaynar. You’d want to be a complete clown to be tipping a 1/14 shot.

My thoughts at the moment having spent little time reviewing the form.

Jezki to upset the odds in the Supreme Novices
Hurricane Fly is a lay at current price - Cinders & Ashes came alive in Cheltenham last year and will improve massively on the ground. Beat Darlan last year who would be going off favourite if he was still alive
Arabella Boy will win the cross country
Will Cause of Causes run in the Neptune? 40/1 is too good to let go if he will.
If you can the evens about Sprinter Sacre then take it. Free money.
Liz Doyles horse looks like being the Irish banker in the bumper. She wouldn’t train Lassie to bark so hard to fancy him. If young Joseph saddles up on Shield it could be interesting.
Will be all over First Lieutenant where he runs. Hopefully the Gold Cup as he’s good enough to win it. Hoping he swerves the Ryanair so I can back Champion Court.
Smad Place is massive at 16/1 for World Hurdle. Wasn’t far off the front 2 last year in a much higher quality race. Oscar Whisky will bottom out. Reve de Sivola is a plodder. Peddlers & Solwhit aren’t true stayers. If there was a 2m 4f champion hurdle race they wouldn’t be running in this. Have backed Bog Warrior at 16’s but unlikely he’ll run I’d guess.
Would like to see Our Conor win the Triumph for his connections but I don’t think he will.
I still maintain Sir Des Champs is the most overrated horse in training. I don’t believe he’s beaten anything of quality at any stage in his career. He’ll probably win the Gold Cup now but I don’t give a fuck. I hope First Lieutenant runs in it as he’s a better horse and deserves his place rather than being thrown into the B event.
Anquetta in the last stake as Geraghty has already said he’ll ride him for Chemical Nicky who’ll surely win the race.

Will look at the handicaps over the weekend. 2 other points to finish

 1. The oddschecker site is as slow as shit
 2. There’s too many fucking races in this festival. Quality is diluted and trainers can do too much ducking and diving.

Grandouet drifting alarmingly on Betfair, something not right there.

Chemical Nicky says ‘all is good’
Didn’t he say the same thing about Binocular after he was told it had failed a drug test

Fuck, I’ve heavily invested in that fcuker

Mac tips champion court to win the Ryan air and in the same breath dismisses the horse who hammered him in the jewson as being the most over rated horse in training. He is rapidly approaching TTK proportions wrt wild predictions based on …

Day 1
The supreme, manys a festival punting has ended here. The traditional irish banker (Dunguib) but not this time. MTOY brings all the form, deserved fav, but no course form….
I’ve sided with the Mullins pair, few quid ew on Pioux Sous and Champagne Fever, both involved in last years bumper and both in good form this year. PS needs a firm surface, anything less than good will lessen his chances. An outsider….the forgotten horse, Cheltenian, bumper winner of 2011. Nice come back last month and Philip Hobbs has prepared them for this race before.
Arkle
Don’t take on Simonsig, take 1/1 if you can get it
JLT
Stick a pin, Fruit OLooney in good form. Should be there of thereabouts. Carlito in, and back him in whatever race he goes in, 137 over fences v 153 over sticks

CH
Grandouet if straight, if not Rock on Ruby. The Fly’s run last year not explained. In decline
Cross Country
Boston Angels has a massive weight swing with the fancied Outlaw pete, this is normally a burger race for me, but this year will take an interest
Mares Race
You know
Putney
Carlito if he runs here. Colour Squadron has cost me a lot of money, and remains high class but his last 2 runs have been disappointing

I’m sticking with dodging bullets.

id be disappointed if he won it. second season novice etc…but best of luck

Hammered? You’d want to have a think about that one kid. Fenton has your brain warped.

Kid did you actually give a tip in their somewhere or is this another one of your Friday night drunken rambles

Sam Winner in the Pertemps.

i think your the one needs to have the think in and stop spouting shite

3 winners in there fagan

nicholls seems to be mad about him, take a look at the pipe horse, CLose home, 4th in last years neptune,2nd in a bumper behind montbazon, looks very well in. Pipe has won 4 of the more recent runnings

Equine thread is equine.

Would you mind naming them?

i need to see the final entries for handicaps and gnd for day 1, simonsig will win

Back the following three horses in handicaps for a profit at Cheltenaham

 1. Our Mick
 2. Toner D’Oudaries
 3. Jetson
