The Citizens of Cavan and Fermanagh Thread, including Quinns

No, I was talking about the team. They have to travel in individual cars these days. That shit mounts up.

Being charged on two separate parts of the same motorway would take its toll on anyone.

Car for sale!

Surprise surprise, the man was originally from Cavan. Why waste money on two newspaper advertisements when you can squeeze it all into one?

That accursed depression again

He looks like a neanderthal.

He’s a McGovern from Kinawley, did you seriously think he’d look normal?

Not really, but not that bad.
He has a head on him like a tennis ball.

He smiled to reporters and camera crews outside, appeared before the sitting represented by Karl Monaghan BL, instructed by John M. Quinn solicitors in Dublin.

One for The People Who Look Slow thread

Not the last we’ve heard of this cunt I’d say. I know by the head in him.

3.5 years for a few digs seems excessive compared to what suspended sentences have been given out for?

That was my thought, but he also used a scalding cup of tea, and he sounds like he boxed the head off your man. This was a sentence pour encourager les autres, so to speak.

True. Dope got hotheaded seeing guy who fired his da, cause of upset in his home (in his eyes anyway) and lashed out. 3.5 years for rash stupidity is lengthy. Just going to jail, 12 months even, would surely have put a frightener in him. 3.5 years likely have him fester and come out worse to society.

He deserved longer the little cunt.

In isolation he’d have got a suspended sentence if that. This is the just the result of ongoing intimidation around the carcass of the Quinn group, and the judiciary saying enough, I’d imagine. I thought it a harsh sentence for a young lad, but it was an unprovoked, unexpected brutal attack on two middle aged men by a man trained in fighting. The boxing thing did him no favours there.

I agree and not trying to come to the cunts defence. Just surprised at the length. Rehabilitation of a damaged young fella doesn’t enter thoughts with that length of sentence.

The sentence definitely reflects the wider picture re the Quinns.

He seems to be the fall guy here though it was a thuggish act and he definitely deserved some prison time.

Lunney and O’Reilly are way above firing McGovern Snr. That feat was accomplished by a HR manager clearly with grounds. This prick just went for the men at the top, serious assault and deserves every day’s time he got. “You can’t go on like this lads” and all that.
