This is not a thread to reopen the actual paddy jackson thread.
Its a thread asking why a decision was made by one individual, it seems, stopping all debate on this matter.

were those lads been found to be guilty then it would have been a free for all and it would be still be open to contribute to this free for all. just like the first 4/5 weeks of the trial where you could call those lads on trial anything you wanted, and people did pretty much that and more without intervention from the moderators.
they were found innocent though and that changed everything.

I’d imagine the mods/hosts etc would have held legitimate concerns about the level of abuse being dished out by one poster in particular. It’s easy to envisage legal repercussions, assignation etc.
The term “rape apologist” was used fairly liberally and some were described in worse terms.
Legal issues aside some modicum of common sense and personal responsibility wouldn’t have gone amiss, regardless of the verdict.
