What’ll happen now is the UFC will ban Khabib. Makes sense for them. The image of the sport needs it and they have to be seen not to condone that shit. It also keeps McGregor relevant, whereas otherwise he’s a busted flush. They get two fights out of McGregor while Khabib is away and make a fortune. Then they get to peddle the khabib’s return story and make a mint out of that. If McGregor somehow manages to win the belt while Khabib is gone he will move up a weight or try another boxing match and dodge Khabib rather than get destroyed again.
