The Cork GAA Thread 2011

have you not FOAD yet you utterly miserable cunt?

For someone to be more boring and inane than me is some achievement. MBB never fails to succeed though. The ignore function is well worth exploring fenway.

Alright buddy, all set to go back to work yet?

what the fuck would you know about work you cunt, whatever poor bugger is paying your wages is getting rightly screwed.

Cork fellas dont like to be proven wrong on their own county. Dont hate the player lads

Mac did you get my PM?

His wiki page says he was in charge for 96, 97, 98, 99, and 2000 - if that’s true then MBB’s “knowledge” is shown up as incorrect again. :stuck_out_tongue:

The same wiki page says that Johnny Crowley was involved and not Tony O’Sullivan but I’m nearly 100% sure O’Sullivan was involved.

If true it was Wexican who corrected me, not a Corkman mac.

tony was a selector the first year but then left

Proven wrong? Grow up child.

Anyway, they seem to be wetting themselves over on RGAA. It will take alot of other factors to convince me this is the absolute right decision.

+1 kev. i think we will get our answer when selectors and backroom team are named.

Ya, i’d have the belief that Jimmy will do his very best anyway. There is a guy from the Barrs, John Neville, who i’d like to see involved from the training perspective. The Barrs themselves the dopes over looked him for their own development role and he got picked up by Cork GAA. He’s young and innovative. But still hurls senior so may not want it, or be allowed by the CB with his job.

As long as JBM goes for youngish progressive men who’ll take a job and go with it. Too many of the selectors involved in different Cork teams have wanted to be all involved, this needs to cease.

Con Burns from CIT is also another excellent young coach, who is doing a very decent job with them.

I’d imagine he’ll stick to the man management side of things, get the right people in and let someone like Seanie O’Brien or Paul O’Connor or Gen Cunningham deal with the training. Hopefully thats how things will go anyway.

Is this the Urban Development Officer…? Wasn’t aware he was the Barr’s corner back, assuming I’m thinking of the right fellow. I’d leave him with his underage role, he seems to be very active in the city.

Ya, thats him, excellent young coach, but also a really good S&C Coach. Seems to have a massive interest in it as well. Used to be in CIT GYm back along and have the odd discussion with him. He was ahead of even McGurn in his thinking (or at least when i came across it).

Barrs made some balls of that role. While his role now is a better one for him obviously, they left a good one slip by for political reasons.

Evidently the two opposition candidates stepped aside to allow JBM to have the role unopposed.

My sources tell me Ger Cunningham (St. Finbarrs), Brian Corcoran (Erins Own), Paul O’Connor (Na Piarsigh) and Pat Hartnett (Midleton) will be the back up team to JBM.

big risk for jbm this.
would he not go for the dream team of justin mccarthy and davy fitz with frank murphy and sean og as selectors

Is Cunningham still a huge advocate of the short passing/running game or has he changed tact?

I would suggest someone from Ballygunner/waterford would be a better person to tell us that. I’d say it would be O’ Connor doing the Hurling though. Corcoran would be a big coup though, surprised he’d commit.

Totally against 5 men though, completely ridiculous if true. I hope the Cb are not telling him who the physical coach needs to be (as in McManus and the Lesiureworld approach), complete fucking joke.
