The Cork GAA Thread 2011

i’ll be talking to one of the lads in charge later on and will report back. text i got was that they played brutal.

midleton were very flat by all accounts. i think they may be lacking on field leaders. if you dont have these, its hard to win no matter how talented a team you have.

Any word on how young Lawton played?

i’ll pm you

I’ll take a PM too.

no you wont :stuck_out_tongue:

Fenway, if youcould do me another favour, could you find out when the replay for the U-16 Cork Colleges final (Midleton versus Blackwater) is on?

ffs. they will play him aswell. midleton cbs called him prior to the wexford challenge last friday night to get him excused. they said a) hes only doing the leaving cert. B) they have the harty quarter final on the wednesday and c) hes their captain and main man. denis walsh was having none of it and the only concession he was prepared to give was to play him for the first half only. i despair i really do.

when i hear i’ll post it up here.

What the fuck? What a fucking asshole.

Denis Walsh out, i’m starting the campaign right now.

Denis O’ Sullivan is due to play for the footballers as well, whats the point in burning him out now in heavy pitches this early in the year, he’s only coming back from a double cruciate.

Cork hurlers won, footballers lost. Lehane played 70 minutes Fenway. Shifted a huge shoulder from Egan at one stage as well.

Were you at the CIT game, Turenne…if so could you throw up the CIT team

UCC/Cork Puke. How did CIT get on?

its bullshit. i see some muppets over on rebelgaa trying to justify it. same cunts will be the first guys to criticise lehane in a couple of years if hes not playing well.

Sorry, could you throw up the UCC team if you have it…Did Honan play…

CIT lost by 3 or 4 points I think to Waterford despite being 6 up at H/T

Honan was listed at corner forward, but didn’t tog out. Team forthcoming.

Maurice Carroll (Erins Own)
Thomas Ryan (Tallow)

Sound…not a half bad side

A lot of serious hurlers missing from the first fifteen - Honan, the two O’Farrells, Seamus Corry, Cahill, Rob White etc - throw them in and they’ll be extremely strong, possibly light at full-back although I thought the Limerick lad did well there today.
