The Cost of Living 📈

The self scanner is handy too as you’re going around so you know what you’ve to pay (to be honest, I’d always be totting up in my head how much it’s going to be anyway)

At least you’d come home with a few stories when you go to the shop though.

Its one of the highlights of my week

This is it.

Since the “ tap “ mentality took hold people just don’t carefully scan their purchasing until it’s too late.

You wouldn’t spot Teege on dunnes.ie.

Cash is far harder to hand over.

I conciously just use it these days.

The most vulnerable!

I do the same. Stacking cash can actually encourage a bit of self discipline. I usually take €200 out at start of every week. If I dont use it all it would roll over to the following week but I’d still take out another €200 at start of that week too.

Its the way to go I think.

The poorest in Ireland have a 63% higher standard of living than the poorest in Britain

It would be interesting to see that vs cost of living in those countries. Having €10k disposable income in ireland is worth a lot less than €10k in Greece for example.

Ireland isn’t so bad as people like to make out though. The poor parts of England are very poor. There are food banks all over the place.
