Iāve posted regularly about my older lad having dyspraxia. To be honest youād not notice it a lot of the time - he types rather than writes etc.
Then there are times when the sensory thing really comes into focus. Donāt get me started on why whoever makes school jumpers has to make scratchy ones 
Yesterday we went to buy sports gear. You and I would look at something to see if you like it but heāll feel it first to see if itās soft enough and rule most things out as not soft enough. Then heāll look at it.
A Puma top was soft enough but it had NJ on it. Whatās NJ he said. I donāt know - a design? Once he reads label and discovers itās Neymar Junior that is ruled out too.
Then heāll rule out anything with a half zip as uncomfortable.
We got there in the end.

Fair play, youāre a great Dad, but I find your story hilarious, i canāt help but picture going for a sports top in the 80s with my old man and me telling him its not soft enough.

Rascalās 6th birthday is coming up and he started handing out invites. He was wondering if he should invite a wee lass he has a crush on. He came home yesterday and I asked him how he got on. āDid you ask the crushā says I. He said she doesnāt like him so he thought better of it. When she saw him handing out other invites to other girls she rambled over. She sickened him by telling him even if she wasnāt busy she wouldnāt go. I lolled and asked what he said back. With a deeply furrowed brow he said ānuthinā.

Itās fast approaching the stage where we need a TFKJnr forum. Plenty of you now have kids whoāll need broader skills than are on offer in schools (ability to rebut a brush-off, how to denigrate Manyoo, why I love/hate Limerick hurlersā¦) all that stuff that kids should be slick and viscous with.

Big man is 1 today. Unbelievable quick year. Heās at nursery and Iām sat in the same place I was the morning after he was born. Getting breakfast in a cafe in Birmingham. It might become a little tradition of mine.
