The missus family rented the Father In Law an allotment for the year for his last birthday. Obviously person dependent, but he loves it. Never stops going on about it. My whole utility was full of cardboard boxes for a month after christmas because he needed them to put under the soil or something, and now we are collecting egg shells, for some fucking reason

Keeps him busy as well, which is good for all concerned. Kind of present you can just renew each year. You may never need to think of a present again
