They automatically added all the Mams only t o the WhatsApp group in our wan’s place the sexist pigs!

You’re inherently safer not being in any of those WhatsApp groups that involve the Mammies. The GAA, community games, school issues these are worse and more lethal than Russian minefields. Ask Flatty if you don’t believe me, he’s the expert on such groups.

That was TFK gold!

These groups are vicious. The local community one here can kick off at anytime… I piped up once and left left soon after such was the hysteria. There’s two men in the group that would shame Brenda and Mary off Facebook. One spends all his time posting pictures of dog shit that has been left within a 20 yard radius of his house. The other is a rubby enthusiast who constantly thinks we needs the guards out to the estate… Kids making noise - get the guards. Litter on the grass - get the guards. The guards in the estate - call the guards. I called him a screaming Mary and the screaming Marys formed an alliance and screamed at me. I left before he called the guards.

These groups are for women and the mentally unwell.

Our Residents Facebook group is gone quiet enough these days. Was more revved up during lockdowns etc.

You’ve fairly clamped one of the boys there

More check down passes from Brady.

It can be rough up there in fairness. I don’t know how you do it.

You made a sensible online comment on a forum where the members were, in the main, mentally unwell. They proceeded to bully you off the chat.

How did you like it?

Yeah. There were a gang of 13/14 year olds playing ball on the green last night. It was proper scary.

What age did any of you let your kids walk home from school? This conversation has popped up. Sorry if it’s been covered prior.

How many miles of a walk are we talking here?

Can they walk with friends?

Mine were 3rd class but loads of kids walking the route and walking with friends

Boy was 7/8, daughter 9/10. Took her an extra year or two to get a handle on directions, not being distracted by a butterfly etc.

I actually miss walking her to and from school now that it’s done with tho

1.5 miles. Built up area and going through a couple of estates.

She’d possibly be alone, trying to work out a deal with a few others. Maybe a couple of days to start.
