Sing.
100 pc agree with this. Bayting them into school every day is a waste of if they have the option to stay home. Covid buried the myth that they are missing out on anything by missing the odd day here and there or even going on holidays in term time.
Both the Angelaâs Christmas animations.
School is the best place for them, getting them into the habit of handy days off for no particular reason isnât ideal.
Sing 2 was our lassâs first trip to cinema. She loved it and I play the songs from the two Sing movies for her the whole time (thankfully she likes the originals too so itâs got her listening to a bit of Prince, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, etc.).
I took her to see the Minions in summer and she didnât like it because there were too many âbad guysâ and not enough Minions having âcraicâ (her current favourite word)
Klaus
By the time this lot come out AI will be doing everything. Leave em have a day off, theyâll need to be used to it
My one is the same, but she loves Sing 1 & 2, and the Minions movies. There are some âscaryâ parts in minions, but itâs mostly done in a silly way.
The Trolls movie was the bane of my life there for a while. Tis similar but has a bit more scary stuff
We went to see Santa yesterday evening and they had some Hurdy Gurdies. I mentioned Iâd go up on the highest one. We were in the car park at the time so nowhere near it but Missy went bonkers. Mrs Hunt said she went similarly nuts during the summer when I went in to the sea for a dip. We realised then. When we got to it she started dragging at me. Told her it was ok I wouldnât go. She asked could she go on it.
Elf
Also: Encanto was a firm favourite here.
I agree with that generally but missing a day or two makes literally no difference and I certainly donât think people should feel guilty for it or even for missing a week at the end of term for a holiday. If there are mental health issues or special needs involved especially miss the day, fuck the loss. Iâve changed my view on this over the years definitely.
Obviously missing a lot of time is very bad for children
Kids often donât want to be in school for various reasons but Iâm convinced that 90% of the time itâs the best place for them
Iâve no problem with people taking holidays etc during term time or erring on the side of caution with illness but just allowing them the odd day off for no reason is a slippery slope Iâd say
Schooling is about conformity, group think, and eradicating individuality. Youre right to take the odd day to do something that encourages independent thought⌠Letting them stay in the sctratcher for the day wouldnât be best practice.
He should set them to doing their own research on Facebook to become an independent thinker like you.
Facebook? Is that still open? But youâre right, heâll have flakes like you crying all day with a simple post. Hell of a future to have.
99% Iâd say.
Just you all wait.
I was in the bathroom this morning when herself came in with an item of skimpy underwear (bra thing)
âHow the fuck did this get in the washing basket, itâs not mineâ
âEr, I think itâs your daughterâsâ
âOh I think youâre rightâ
Even worse, it wasnât even underwear, it was outerwear.
Iâm not sure I wouldnât rather have been caught tbh.
Iâll take a pm
