Every parent/ guardian should know this
Iâve an irrational fear of kids blowing up balloons after hearing of a choking story.
All parents of young kids constantly worry,in Derry in the 80s a near weekly case of cot death occurred locally, including our own in 89,
From then on no matter how irrational it was,I woke my kids up nightly if I couldnât hear them breathing etc,
Thank God majority of parents donât go through this,
Twould drive U around the bend worrying
Jay from modern family thought cutting up grapes was the ultimate in helicopter, snowflakey modern parenting. And his wife had huge tits
Our youngest is a fiend for blueberrys. Devours them whole. We still cut grapes. Weâd a scare
With a breadstick of all things a few weeks ago. Shakes youâŚ
As an aside, a good mate from hockey has got the worst news possible. Their one year has a genetic mitochondrial disease. Which means heâs on palliative care. Itâs absolutely awful. I honestly donât know what to say to him. Both their kids were born on IVF so theyâve been through the ringer.
Our young lad ates a few cartons a week⌠Fucking loves them. We used to squish the bigger ones but heâs a pro now.
Put in a word for me
Too late ,on the bus to a latte in Wilton
Iâm in his gang, bloody gotten expensive last while
Hard to believe itâs been 8 years, didnât think I was here that long
Starting secondary school tomorrow, a great girl, the speech impediment never fully disappeared and sheâs âquirkyâ, so the old worries never go away, she has a couple of pals from primary school with her, fingers crossed
All will be ok,we worry too much, kids are more resilient than we give them credit for, enjoy this special time.
You wouldnât be a good dad if you didnât worry.
I have a little one starting next week. She tried on her big brotherâs hand me down uniform and the polo shirt âwas a bit tight Daddyâ. Rascal told her itâs cos sheâs fat and thatâs what you get for eating too many treats. In fairness she paid no heed to him.
Good girl,smart obviously.
Dunnes is the best value of all if you use your vouchers astutely. Way better selection of food to lidl and aldi too
Aldi and Lidl fruit n veg are bad.
The fruit and veg in Dunnes is generally awful too. Super Valu always far superior
If you want fruit and veg go to a fruit and veg shop
