Every parent/ guardian should know this

I’ve an irrational fear of kids blowing up balloons after hearing of a choking story.

All parents of young kids constantly worry,in Derry in the 80s a near weekly case of cot death occurred locally, including our own in 89,

From then on no matter how irrational it was,I woke my kids up nightly if I couldn’t hear them breathing etc,
Thank God majority of parents don’t go through this,
Twould drive U around the bend worrying

Jay from modern family thought cutting up grapes was the ultimate in helicopter, snowflakey modern parenting. And his wife had huge tits

Our youngest is a fiend for blueberrys. Devours them whole. We still cut grapes. We’d a scare
With a breadstick of all things a few weeks ago. Shakes you…

As an aside, a good mate from hockey has got the worst news possible. Their one year has a genetic mitochondrial disease. Which means he’s on palliative care. It’s absolutely awful. I honestly don’t know what to say to him. Both their kids were born on IVF so they’ve been through the ringer.

Hard to believe it’s been 8 years, didn’t think I was here that long

Starting secondary school tomorrow, a great girl, the speech impediment never fully disappeared and she’s ‘quirky’, so the old worries never go away, she has a couple of pals from primary school with her, fingers crossed

All will be ok,we worry too much, kids are more resilient than we give them credit for, enjoy this special time.
You wouldn’t be a good dad if you didn’t worry.

I have a little one starting next week. She tried on her big brother’s hand me down uniform and the polo shirt ‘was a bit tight Daddy’. Rascal told her it’s cos she’s fat and that’s what you get for eating too many treats. In fairness she paid no heed to him.
