Not really. I’d compare Zlatan to somebody like Cantona, a mercurial talent but in the real scheme of things well down the pecking order.

Exactly. Whereas Larsson was a man for all weathers and all seasons.
Internationally he was part of a Swedish team which finished third at the World Cup.

I know Zlatan was good but winning a major international trophy with the likes of Mikael Lustig, Jimmy Durmaz, Kim Kallstrom and Andreas Granqvist is certainly pushing it.

Zlatan had 15 seasons to win a champions league and failed miserably. Larson had two at the end of his career and won it. Turned the game around in the final as well. Zlatan will be best remembered for goals in a friendly.

Why does Larsson get huge credit for Sweden getting to the semi finals of the 1994 world cup. He was a relatively inexperienced squad player for them who mainly figured off the bench with the likes of Brolin and Dahlin being their main men.
Would be like crediting Jamie Vardy for England’s run to the semi final of the last World Cup
He did not play 15 CL seasons. Larsson did not play just 2 CL seasons.
Vardy is a very good comparison for Larsson.
