The Daily Debate 25-03-2020 - Limerick v Waterford v Cork

This vote really shows the inherent bias of the Limerick posters on here. Not one neutral vote for them.

I voted Waterford until Fagan’s post made me reflect. He’s right, they were a very average team.

Limerick had a better goalie, full back line, equal half back line (possibly) and midfield. The backs were so good they gave those forwards a chance at an All Ireland

The Limerick team that played in the Munster Championship in 96 would have beaten that Waterford team. Too physical for them

either that or Flynn would have got 20 points from frees

They met in 99 didnt they? Tho a few of the Limerick team had moved on and those left were at the end … Waterford won by a point.

2001 in Cork was a great day … dead and buried after 20 mins and Begley walked all over the cunts second half.

Weren’t Limerick well on top before a Paul Flynn wonder goal? or was that 98

Ollie Moran dragged us back into it just before half time.

Justin could have gone in 05 but who would have replaced him? Davy wasn’t on the market til 08.

Yes in Cork. Limerick put Mike Houlihan in full forward and he caused havoc.

Wexford full forward line didn’t find the Limerick full back line that much of a hard nut to crack in the 1996 final. Well the two that remained after Eamonn Scallan went for an early shower. Garry Laffan destroyed Mike Nash and Tom Dempsey had a very good match as well, including helping himself to the only and match winning goal.

I think Waterford were 5/6 up at half time and Limerick clawed it back. Flynn goaled alright… Limerick tore strips off them that day and repeated it in 2001 when the hurling wasnt working.

Got a soft goal after Peter Queally miscontrolled the ball.

Yeah but it still brought us back into it

Oh it did. It instilled the usual panic in us.
