The Daily Debate 25-03-2020 - Limerick v Waterford v Cork

@Ash77 and @Lickmyass are horrible cunts to a man

As are @Amourski and @Oige

Tom Ryan cost limerick an Ireland in the 90s he hadn’t the head for the job. The roaring and shouting is great to get lads motivated but in the white heat of battle you need to be cool, calm and collected on the side line.

Tom Ryan’s only fault was he was too restrained. He needed to go further.

Are you referring to his refusal to bring on Galligan in 96?

Were you even born?

Failing to keep giving the ball to Damien Guigley In the second half when he was having the game of his life was criminal. Roaring, balling and cowardly belts tends to endear itself to limerick hurling fans but If you want to win you need to be calm and keep your head. That Waterford team were another example really. Far too much bullshit going on around them during the game and pre game. Cool heads always prevail.

Can tomorrow’s topic be did peter lawlor have a great game in the 2007 final after being taken for four points by his man?

you never answered if Declan Hannon had a great game in 2018 after being taken by 3 from play by his man

Cregan hooked Shane McGuckian around half time, put Joe Errity in Quigley and his influence and scoring waned after that.

The balls dried up too though. Imo having nobody on the side line who could step back and look at things objectively was absolutely killer.

My auld lad reckons we lost them because Tom Ryan wore a suit on the sidelines

No

Limerick didnt perform in 96, they were flat from the off. The better team won… 94 was the one they threw away.

If you say they weren’t in the top two in 2007 despite winning the league and Munster Championship because they lost a semi-final to Limerick, then they were definitely in the top two in 2008 when they did a Limerick to a Tipperary team which had won the Munster Championship and the league.

And vice versa.

45 votes cast and not even 1 yet for the Cork side of the decade just gone that won three Munster titles and reached 6 All Ireland semi finals.

By corks standards that’s awful though.
