The Death of the GGA

Ya but that does not mean they are a drinking team or anything.

Any sane manager would encourage the same

Where did I make out that they are pissheads?

How does your post tally with you saying it was “nonsense” when I mentioned they were out regularly enough earlier on btw?

He encourages the group to celebrate together as opposed to breaking up into cliques.
After they beat Galway 2 years ago he went on the piss with the team.

He does not encourage boozing, he believes victories deserve to be celebrated but most importantly as a group.

Expand on regularly enough.

They are out after most/all championship games they play anyway. I have also seen some of them drinking at hurling matches when they could be playing the next week or two weeks later, the Munster hurling final in 2016 comes to mind in that regard

Rathmoley is the towns land of his homeplace.

Shur didn’t Woolie interview him and boys hammered on the bus on the way home from a game last year. Liam’s not the worst.

They are not out regularly enough you ape. I know this for a fact.
They probably go out as a group more than many teams of recent years. But it’s still rare

So one experience in god knows what context gives you all yhis info?

Tipp moving well so far. It’s the 1st year in ages that they have had full commitment from everyone to training before Christmas. Usually a few sacred cows took their time to come back. Playing good opposition in Divison 2 and the few lads back from the hurling panel has given it a big boost. Staying up in Divison 2 is the number 1 aim this year.

Regularly enough for an intercounty team obviously. I didn’t think that needed to be stated but obviously it does with you around

Waffle.

Nonsense.
You attempted to make them out to be a joke and have been rumbled, move aside

Michael Ryan approach to things seems to be under the spotlight on a few fronts now.

He took footballers that on the face of it without ever really being convinced they would play.

Lots of “company speak” coming out of the hurlers as well. Could be wrong and in fairness he was a puck of a ball or two away from a 2nd All Ireland but alot of shit has gone down.

I did in my hole make them out to be a joke you gobshite. I think a more relaxed approach where players are allowed to go out from time to time and encouraged to spend time together is more beneficial than what the hurlers do

This isn’t true. Seamus Kennedy has started every championship game since he made the switch. Mick Ryan clearly wanted O Brien in for his size and gave him two years at it but decided his hurling wasn’t up to scratch

Ok guys, you’re essentially getting worked up over Tipp football. Let’s relax a little.

Big year for Tipp and Michael Ryan. The golden generation from the winning minor teams of 06/07 really only have about 1/2 years left max at the top level. Brendan, Paudie, Bonnar, Noel Mac, Seamie, Cahill, James Barry are all 29-30 now. It’s now or never for a 3rd all Ireland for those lads expect Barry. They will be huge jerseys to fill when they retire.

Very few of the those coming behind them has come has fulfilled their potential. John Mac, Dan Mac and Ronan Maher. Breen has played in fits. Barret and Bubbles although both are talented are loose cannons in every sense. Forde had yet to deliver. There are a good few lads on the panel for a few years but haven’t nailed down championship places or haven’t improved. GK is now a problem as well.

The minors of 15/16 are good but it’s a bit soon for them.

In his 1st year Ryan picked big men as he saw that as the way to beat kk. Dan Mc and Seamus Kennedy were brought in while he discarded some of the stickmen that EOS valued. That was good enough in 2016. However kk are no longer the bar.

In my opinion if we don’t win an all Ireland in the next 2 years it will be a good 6-7 years before we will contest for one again.
