Galway have big men that can hurl, but not stick men in the tipp tradition. Thatâs what you said. Iâm glad to see youâve backtracked completely from that, I know you canât admit you are wrong, ever, so Iâll have to accept that tacit admission.

who do they want to be ?
christiano ronaldo or fucking noel o leary who cuts trees for a living? thatâs the bottom line
i dont think any good can come out of sports going head to head at all, rugby is never included really as during the winter it never competes with soccer, us and the GFC in the town have a very good relationship and we;ll make it work here but i can only see the GAA loosing if and when kids soccer goes 100% in the summer
To paraphrase a wise TFK member I donât think youâre actually disagreeing with each other.
M, I donât for a second think C is trying to put Galway down or anything of that nature. Theyâre an excellent team with many qualities but a âTEAM of great stickmenâ isnât near the first thing that would come to mind if I was asked to describe them as a team or lost their strengths.
Itâs not an insult to Galway say Tipperary probably have more of that type of silky stickman but, yes, Galway also have several tremendous stickmen too. Sure Galwayâs best player by far last year was Gearoid McInerney and heâd hardly be described as a great stickman. Heâs blessed with a raft of other important qualities though.
I think this dispute can be resolved with a little bit of goodwill from both sides.
Even on Conor Whelan, heâs clearly superb but I wouldnât class him as a âgreat stickmanâ like a Noel McGrath or John OâDwyer. He seems quite unorthodox to me but heâs obviously exceptionally effective in his own right.
