The depression thread

You brought it up.

You brought it up mate. I merely responded to your post as I felt your post glossed over it

You proved my point. You can’t let any reference to Mickey Harte go without trying to go down a slur on that reference letter.

It’s the ultimate act of cynicism and theatrics, I think it shows you for the kind of small minded and nasty man you are. Why is your outrage on sexual assault victims so selective and differing. Why do you feign ignorance on the political party you support and the local incidents involved?

McNamee’s story is a good one though I should say and fair play to him for having the openness to speak out. Conor Meyler on that BBC GAA podcast this week likewise who brought up that he went to see a GPA counsellor at one point during his career as he was finding it difficult to cope

I can’t believe the free pass he got, kept his head down for 6 months and then it all seemed to be forgotten about. Like he was even given the cork minor/u17 job after giving a character reference for a paedophile

I was talking about Mickey Harte and all the good he’s done with reference to McNamee and lo and behold @the_man_himself wades in with the same character assassination on Mickey Harte.

It’s a really snide way of dealing with things and he has precedent of using victims of sexual abuse to score points in a very selective manner.

You don’t like that pointed out and you certainly don’t like discussions that rely on details and incidents that can be supported.

He responded to something you brought up. You introduced it to the conversation.

I preempted the gutter he would try and bring the conversation into. He can’t let a mere mention of Mickey Harte go without trying to smear his reputation.

You introduced the topic. You really shouldn’t have brought it up if you were going to squeal like a stuck pig about it.

I preempted the narrative and the usual snipes delivered.

So you brought it up to get people to mention it, knowing in particular who’d mention it and are now whinging about them mentioning it.

Seems a bit mental

Thank goodness you wouldn’t adopt that approach in your debating

Nope.

At a friend’s wedding. Is it acceptable to hit the hay at ten bells because the black dog has made an appearance and you don’t wanna be around folk?

Let someone at your table or close friend know if you feel like it so they can ward off anyone wondering where you are. Look after yourself and take it easy
